House rules and guidelines for behaviour

For the safety and enjoyment of all members within our community, all members their guests, and others using our spaces shall act in a respectful manner in the space, use the space in a manner consistent with typical commercial office building usage, and shall not perform any activity or cause or permit anything that is reasonably likely to be disruptive or dangerous to us or any members, or our/their employees, guests, or property.

The use of any Christie Spaces ‘space’ to conduct or pursue any illegal or offensive activities is strictly prohibited.

Meeting Rooms

Meeting rooms must be booked via the Christie Spaces Members Portal, or the mobile App. Meeting Rooms are subject to availability. Keep the room clean and tidy after you finish.

Occupying a meeting room without a booking will result in you being interrupted, asked to leave (if another member has booked the room) and in addition, a futile booking fee being charged to your rental account by Christie Spaces staff.

Shared Lounges, Common Spaces and Booths

We expect our members and their guests to use shared spaces such as lounges, kitchens and coworking spaces respectfully, by cleaning up after themselves, being reasonably quiet and being mindful of others using the area.

The use of speakers and or speaker phones (handsfree) is not appropriate for hallways, common areas or lounges which would otherwise disturb co-workers and guests. We recommend the use of headphones/ear pods or simply use your private office, a phone booth or book a meeting room if a speaker or speakerphone, must be used.

Private Offices

You and your staff must comply with the terms set out in our Membership Agreement, Terms of Services - Member Covenants. If at any time you require a copy, please contact your Community Team. Within your private office, be aware of safety hazards such as blocked entries/exits, appropriately using electrical connections and learn our fire and evacuation policy.

Please encourage your team to be familiar with the property's Emergency Evacuation Procedures in the event of an emergency. Christie Spaces provides for regular Fire Warden Procedure Training that your company will be asked to part-take in.

We will also notify you in advance of upcoming training and trial evacuations. A copy of the emergency evacuation floor plans, firefighting equipment and procedures can be found in the User Guide section of the Christie Spaces Members Portal.

Please do not install, modify additional or tamper with electrical circuits or equipment that belong to Christie Spaces that would otherwise interfere with the safe operation of the office or equipment or create a hazard. If you wish to make any changes to the layout or add some of your own items, please check in with your local Community Team so we can guide you in the right direction.

Unacceptable behaviour

To protect our member community, certain actions of members and businesses are deemed unacceptable and will result in the termination of their membership with Christie Spaces.

These unacceptable behaviours include:

  • The posting of illegal, inappropriate or threatening content within a Christie Spaces property, the Christie Spaces app or any Christie Spaces digital platform.
  • The spamming of fellow members through posts or personal messages.
  • Making statements that could damage the reputation of or are intended to directly offend other Christie Spaces members.
  • Disruption of a professional work environment.
  • Harassment of fellow Christie Spaces members or staff.
  • Conducting fraudulent activity as a member of Christie Spaces.
  • Not following the rules and regulations of meeting room bookings.

Please note the following actions will result in a warning being issued to the offender:

  • Any obstruction of common areas/pathways, as this can violate our safety measures and create hazards for fellow members and staff.
  • No objects are to be stuck to the glass walls in a Christie Spaces property.
  • Using meeting rooms without a prior booking will not be tolerated. An allocation of meeting room coins is included in your membership for this reason. Bookings are essential to avoid interruptions or double bookings of meeting rooms.

Report unacceptable behaviour

If you should witness anything you feel goes against our Community Guidelines, we encourage you to please share your concern with your Community Manager.

Our dedicated team will keep your report anonymous to other members.

These guidelines are in place to keep all Christie Spaces community members and staff safe, so we appreciate any inappropriate behaviour that is brought to our attention.
